Keep in mind that if your Bkool trainer is connected via Bluetooth Smart to the Bkool simulator and you try to connect it via Bluetooth Smart to another device (computer or tablet) that uses this technology, you will not be able to do it.

Similarly, if your Bkool trainer is connected to another Bluetooth Smart device, it will not be visible to the Bkool simulator and you will not be able to pair it using Bluetooth.

If you want to pair the Bkool trainer to the simulator and another device at the same time, you have to do so via ANT+ (if the other device supports it).

7. PAIRING OTHER DEVICES

The Bkool simulator is compatible with any ANT+ or Bluetooth Smart power, speed, cadence and HR sensor.

Keep in mind that these devices are not included with the Bkool unit.

In order to pair devices, they must be near the computer or tablet. They must also be activated so that they are shown on the screen. Follow the steps described above in section 6 while looking for the device you want.

8. KEEP YOUR TRAINER AND SIMULATOR UP TO DATE

To improve your user experience Bkool continuously updates its trainer and simulator software. Updates are free of charge. When you have the simulator working it will tell you the steps to follow in order to upgrade the software.

9. BKOOL SIMULATOR

Our simulator is the most complete on the market, letting you ride your own routes or any route in the world. You can also ride with friends no matter where they are. These routes can be 2D, 3D, real video and map. You'll see the route's profile at all times, and readings for distance, time, power, speed and gradient. Create and take part in teams, leagues and rankings. Compete against real or virtual cyclists. You set the limits. Keep in mind that many of these features are free, but others may require a Premium subscription, which you can get at bkool.com.

See our website for more information.

10. BKOOL and MTB BIKES

Using a mountain bike is perfectly OK, though we recommend replacing the knobby tires with slicks to avoid excessive noise.

Thanks to its swing arm, the Bkool trainer is compatible with practically any wheel diameter, including 26, 27.5 and 29” MTB tires.

You have to use one of our compatible quick releases (see FAQ) and a slick tire to avoid excessive noise. MTB users normally keep a third wheel at home with a slick tire to use on the Bkool trainer and not have to change tires. If you go on our website, you’ll see some groups with only MTB riders in them where they share routes, program multiplayer MTB sessions, etc.

11. BKOOL.COM
